The February issue of American Laundry News featured the OPL 101 column, “How Does One Decide to Replace Equipment?” written by Bill Brooks, UniMac® national sales manager. In the article, Brooks helped on-premises laundry managers decide whether it was time to replace their laundry equipment and make the investment of new machines. The factors to determine that need include the cost of repair, new technology benefits and equipment available in comparison to current machines.
“Another reason to consider replacing old equipment is when the benefit of the new technologies quickly outweighs the initial cost of the new equipment,” said Brooks. “This immediate return on investment can be experienced through decreased utility bills, increased linen life and improved linen quality and comfort after processing.”
