Alliance Laundry Systems Heralds Gulfood Success

Published On: February 27, 2015

Alliance Laundry Systems, the global leader in commercial laundry systems and solutions, says that the success of its recent attendance at Gulfood in Dubai has confirmed the Middle East as a significant growth opportunity for the business.

“Our systems are ideally suited to all elements of the hospitality sector, and especially hotels, where we already have relationships with most of the major brands,” says John Bannister, Director of International Sales – Middle East & Africa.

“They have realised the significant competitive advantage that our systems can deliver, and the on-going investment in developing new systems that use less water, less power, and that are more environmentally friendly, reliable and hence more cost-effective than ever before.”

Forthcoming major events including the 2020 World Fair and the FIFA football world cup in 2022, have led to a significant increase in hotel construction.

Alliance already enjoys a preferred supplier status to many of the major brands including Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt, and is looking to further extend its reach. With a report last year (the STR Global Construction Pipeline Report) predicting that 130 new hotels are set to open in the Middle East and Africa in 2015 alone, and hundreds more in the pipeline, there is plenty of opportunity.

Qatar, the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) are all markets that Alliance currently targets, selling through an existing network of quality distributors. It does not sell direct, and will continue to invest to support its distributors with a new range of products and services over the next two years and beyond. Kuwait is also seen as a growth opportunity in the future.

The focus is not on the hospitality sector alone, but also in other areas such as hospitals, care establishments and schools. Within KSA, for example, there is a significant investment in new hospital facilities, and a clear demand for Alliance Laundry Systems’ specialist Barrier Washers that are not only intrinsically ‘safe’ to enable customers to conform to the most stringent health regulations, but they can also deliver the highest capacity for the smallest footprint in cleanroom facilities where space is often at a premium.

All of Alliance Laundry Systems’ machines share a common set of values in that they are compact in design, rugged in construction, and bring the very latest quality, reliability and innovation to the commercial laundry sector.

“The strength and breadth of our commercial laundry solutions are unrivalled,” says Christophe Sisternas Director International Marketing, “and confirms our position as the world number one, able to offer our customers a total solution from a single platform in even the most challenging markets where specialist technologies and capabilities are required.”

Alliance Laundry Systems was exhibiting at Gulfood for the very first time. It took the opportunity to welcome and entertain major partners from across the region on an evening river cruise that gave senior ALS executives a chance to thank local partners for their continued support and discuss new business opportunities in a social environment.
