Experts Explore Environmentally-Friendly Laundry Options in Western Hotelier Magazine

In the September/October issue of Western Hotelier Magazine, UniMac® North American Sales Manager Bill Brooks, along with other laundry experts, offers insights into operating greener OPL (on-premise laundry) facilities. In the article, “Being Green,” Brooks discusses leading technologies that address common laundry room concerns, such as extensive water usage and high energy consumption. He suggests using UniMac’s OPTispray Rinsing Technology, a unique spray-rinsing feature that uses as much as 39 percent less water compared to bath rinses alone. Additionally, he encourages the use of washer-extractors with a high G-Force extraction rate, which reduces drying time and natural gas usage by as much as 50 percent.

“All in all, these advanced technologies can save thousands of dollars in utility costs and hundreds of gallons of water,” Brooks says. “By utilizing the most advanced equipment and tools available, hotels ensure optimal care while reducing potential negative environmental impact.”
